Botanical Sketching with Glynn Bishop | May 2018

May 20 2018
MUN Botanical Garden Time 2 – 4 pm

Cost: Free

Sketching plants and mushrooms in the field is one of the best ways to remember what is unique about the species you are studying. The serenity of sitting in the wild and sketching your newly found subject creates a memory process that far surpasses what can be captured in a photograph.

Join Glynn for a casual yet informative talk with demonstrations for sketching in the field using pencil and watercolour, with a view to scientific identification.

He will share the tools that are required for sketching in the field as well as simple techniques for capturing your subject.
