Approach / Inspiration

While I love exploring different mediums such as oil, acrylics and pen/ink, I always find myself drawn back to watercolour for its luminosity.  I find inspiration everywhere, from nature to people and everyday life.  I simply paint what speaks to me.  With a love of flowers and the opportunity to learn under Margaret Walsh Best, it is impossible not to be inspired by her passion for all things botanical.

Biography

For as long as I can remember I have loved to draw and paint, always regretting that I did not pursue a fine arts degree.  While raising a family and working full time, I would try to find time to paint but life would often get in the way.  When the opportunities presented themselves, I took classes at MUN Extension Services and Anna Templeton Center as well as from many talented local artists.   I currently study with Gerald Vaandering, Kathleen Knowling and Margaret Walsh Best, continuing to enjoy the journey and see where it leads.
