Approach / Inspiration

I am inspired by the bounty of nature around me. The seasons of my garden gives me unlimited access to subjects for my work. My love of gardening and my photography passion have combined to bring the beauty of colour and light into my brilliant watercolour florals. As I begin my botanical art exploration, I am amazed at the complex beauty and tenacity of the fragile plants that call this windswept rock home.

Biography

My love of art began when I was a child, sketching scenes of my hometown of Petty Harbour, NL. I began painting watercolour landscapes over twenty five years ago, capturing the unique light of the Newfoundland landscape. For the past several years I have concentrated on painting nature and florals.
