Approach / Inspiration
I am inspired by the bounty of nature around me, from the Newfoundland landscape to the delicate plants that cling with tenacity to this windswept rock I call home.
My love of gardening and my photography passion have combined to bring the beauty of colour and light into my paintings. I strive to transport the viewer into the seductive and complex world of flowers or the wild and beautiful landscape.
Biography
My love of art began when I was a child, sketching scenes of my hometown of Petty Harbour, NL. I began painting watercolour landscapes over twenty five years ago, capturing the unique light of the Newfoundland landscape. For the past several years I have concentrated on painting nature and florals.
