Approach / Inspiration

Life, in general, inspires me!  I love all aspects of painting, from choosing a subject matter to deciding on colour and taking that first step of paint to paper - it’s all an adventure!  My love of gardening provides an abundance of colourful flowers to use in my paintings.  I also enjoy painting the natural beauty of seascapes and landscapes around our beautiful province as well as capturing the beauty of people through portraiture – a skill I want to pursue.  For now, my love of floral design has provided me with inspiration to explore botanical art.

Biography

I’ve always had a desire to paint. I enjoyed taking art classes in school in earlier years and more recently attending art classes offered by local artists as well as enrolling in online courses.  I enjoy painting a variety of subjects in various mediums and styles and am currently focusing on watercolour and botanical art.
