Approach / Inspiration

My love of flowers has been a lifelong passion, starting from childhood admiring my mother and grandmother’s garden and helping them in their gardens, to being an avid gardener in my adult life, to happily and passionately painting flowers.  Painting flowers provides me with endless painting subjects.  I love painting flowers in a larger format and when doing so I feel that you can really capture their beauty in a much bolder manner, and magnify the essence of the flower, giving it that wow factor.

Biography

I was born in Winnipeg and moved to Newfoundland and Labrador in 1988.  Through the vibrant art community and instruction of many talented artists, a passion evolved primarily in acrylic and watercolour mediums.
